a good week for mail

last week brought some rad things in the mailbox!
my copy of "where do you go to?" by anthony cudahy, one portal by delilah jones, and not to mention my fuck yeah fest tickets! inspired and excited!

an old brown notebook

flipped through a 2 yr old sketchbook the other night and was happy and disappointed with what i found. there were a ton of old doodles that i liked, and it was interesting to see my attempts at the human form before i had taken any classes in figure study. i had a lot more time on my hands, then, and i don't draw nearly enough as i should anymore. and i miss that purple pen!

i've reached the halfway mark of what has been a lovely summer. sending warm vibes out, wishing only smiles around the corner.

been working like a machine this past week, fueled by caffeine. slowly but happily crossing big things off an even bigger to do list. as the semester comes to an end, i'm looking forward to keep working on my own projects over the summer. and if everything works out, a friend is planning a group show at the smell in los angeles that'll run at the end of this month!
